Eels
Eels - Anguilliformes
Eels are a commonly researched marine fish, as their snake-like appearance makes them popular among collectors and enthusiasts. Eels can grow up to 12 feet, although most eels won't reach a quarter of that size. Their fins form a long ribbon that runs along the length of the eels body. Eels are typically predators, so be careful when mixing eels with other fish in your tank. They do like to hide, especially in holes and other shallow water areas because of their predatory nature. Some of the more common eels you may have head of before include: moray eel, ribbon eel and snowflake eel.
